About Elia Vanderheyden
The young artist Elia Vanderheyden connects archaic printing techniques (classical Japanese woodcuts and western contrapresses) with contemporary technological developments such as Artificial Intelligence and laser cutting. In June 2024 he graduated from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp and continued his artistic journey through founding his own collective printmaking space (SPLINTER) and collaborations with Museum de Reede and other art initiatives. One might interpret his works as abstract landscapes that build bridges between tradition and technology.
Born in 2000.
