Belgian artists Eric Bassleer (°1974) and Thomas Stiernon (°1977), both from the Belgium city of Liège, have joined forces and present themselves as the artistic duo Eric Colonel and Thomas Spit. Their artistic practice unfolds across a wide range of media, including drawing, painting, sculpture and ceramics. The universe created by the two men is shaped by references to everyday life, comic strips and popular and urban cultures, and infused with joyful irony, tender humor and cheeky irreverence.
