About Katrien De Blauwer

Katrien De Blauwer began her artistic path with a degree in painting in Ghent and continued her journey with an unfinished course at the Fashion Academy in Antwerp. During this period, she created her first collage works in the form of studies and mood boards for fashion collections. Today, her art consists of a pure and recognizable form of collage with a cinematic sensibility. In her work, she brings together diverse influences from literature, art, music, fashion, and cinema. Her practice revolves around anonymized female figures through which she explores themes such as identity, sexuality, and the female body.
