Roger Dudant

About Roger Dudant

Roger Dudant is known for his almost monochromatic landscape in grey and beige tones, evoking emptiness and silence.

Under the direction of Victor Noël and Émile Salkin, he was trained at the Academy of Fine Arts and Decorative Arts (ABA) in the city of Tournai. These studies were followed by painting courses at La Cambre, under the direction of Paul Delvaux.

His work is mysterious and pure, characterised by horizontal and vertical lines and covered by mist. Dudant's oeuvre evokes surreal poetry.

Born in Laplaigne in 1929, passed away in 2008.
