About Christian Megert
Christian Megert is a Swiss sculptor whose artistic practice also includes installations and objects. An important element in his oeuvre is the mirror, an object of originally industrial manufacture, which is the medium par excellence for altering, breaking, and multiplying forms, thereby creating a new space that ultimately reaches into infinity. Through Megert's hand, the mirror becomes a transformational object that challenges our gaze through a play of light and movement. Throughout his oeuvre, the philosophy of the ZERO movement, of which Megert is a key representative, echoes: art and technology merge in symbiosis in a minimalist, monochrome style focused on light and movement.Born in 1936.
