About Uitstalling Art Gallery

The gallery focuses on contemporary art and is committed to presenting urgent, thought-provoking practices by emerging and mid-career artists from Belgium and abroad that work across painting, installation, sculpture and mixed media. Based in Genk, a post-industrial city in Limburg (Belgium), the gallery draws on its unique geographic and cultural context to foster dialogue between local narratives and global concerns.

Through collaborations with museums, curators and other partners, the gallery builds a sustainable network that enables artists to reach beyond the boundaries of the white wall. Derived from South African and meaning 'exhibition', the word UITSTALLING is precisely what the gallery aims to do: build a sustainable network through collaborations with museums, curators and other partners that enables artists to reach beyond the boundaries of the white wall and therefore make art visible as a powerful tool for imagination, critical reflection and connection.
