Delen Private Bank
About Delen Private Bank
Delen Private Bank has a soft spot for Belgian art. A fondness that becomes apparent through the design of our interiors, the art exhibitions held in our offices and through partnerships established with galleries, artists and art fairs. This is how we support Belgian art in all its various forms.
Art is a source of inspiration, connection and joy. It has been an integral part of the bank’s identity from early on. The arrival of art enthusiast Filips De Ferm, who joined the bank’s executive committee in the nineties, further fuelled Delens love for art. Filips advised Delen on the purchase of its first artworks, helped build its modest collection and sparked the bank’s predilection for post-war abstract art. This proved to be an art movement that perfectly complements the look and feel of our office spaces, the latter being carefully designed by Marie-Alix Delen and her daughter Anne-Sophie.
As a bank, we strive for sustainable growth, a philosophy we also apply to the support of fine arts. Rather than building an extensive art collection ourselves, Delen focuses on partnerships with galleries, museums and art fairs. In this way, we create a broader support base to offer artists a platform and contribute to the development of the art world. Nonetheless we are proud to add artworks to our own art collection, of which each acquisition is made with the heart.
To put it in the words of Anne-Sophie Delen: ‘To us, it is all about the emotional value of art – a matter of the eye and the heart’. Consequently, Delen.ART and the bank’s related art initiatives are entirely non-commercial and solely intended to share our passion and to give art a platform. Delen Private Bank does not in any way facilitate or participate in art sales or any other commercial activity related to these initiatives.
